“At just 16 years old, while still in school, my life took an unexpected turn when my daughter became pregnant with twin boys. As the child of a single mother, I saw firsthand the heavy emotional and financial toll this news took on her and me. We felt overwhelmed and uncertain about our future. Hope arrived when a mutual friend introduced us to Mr. and Mrs. Kajjimu. During their first visit to our home, they brought essential supplies for my newborn twins, the mother, and me. Recognizing our deep vulnerability, they committed to sending us UGX 100,000 every month for a year to cover our basic needs. When resource constraints meant they could no longer continue the monthly stipends, they ensured we were not left stranded. I owned a small plot of land, and the Kajjimu family generously funded the construction of our permanent home. Moving out of a rental house changed everything for us. Today, free from the burden of rent, I only focus on providing food. Thanks to this foundation, my daughter also learned tailoring, which allows her to work in our neighborhood and ensure my grandchildren always have something to eat.”

“As a mother of four, I found myself facing a heartbreaking crisis when financial hardships left me completely stranded. I could no longer afford school fees for my children, and it devastated me to think that my eldest son's education would be cut short right before he could finish primary school. In our moment of deepest need, our Church Cell Leader introduced us to Mr. and Mrs. Kajjimu. Understanding our struggle, they stepped in with clear hope: they committed to sponsoring my son through his final year of primary school so he could sit for his Primary Leaving Examination (PLE). They have faithfully paid his school fees for the first two terms. With just one term left to go, my son is now safely in school and on track to sit for his final examinations this October.”

“Growing up in a family of six children with two unemployed parents, everyday life was a constant struggle. Providing food was difficult, and school fees was a luxury we simply could not afford. My siblings and I were frequently chased away from school due to unpaid fees, threatening our future. Desperate for a solution, my mother approached Mr. and Mrs. Kajjimu. In an incredible act of generosity, they agreed to sponsor both me and my younger brother. They fully supported my education from Senior One all the way through Senior Six, giving me a complete secondary education. For my brother, they stepped in when he was in Primary Five; today, he is thriving in Senior Three. Through the Dovan Foundation, he continues to receive full school fees and all necessary scholastic materials to help him reach his full potential. This support has truly boosted our family and lifted a massive burden off our parents' shoulders. Because our school fees are taken care of, my parents can now afford to put food on the table and properly support our other brothers and sisters with their needs. We are deeply grateful for this life-changing opportunity and urge other well-wishers to support children like us — these gestures truly mean the world to families in need.”

“After my parents separated, my mother was left toiling alone to raise me and my three siblings. Because she was unemployed, affording school fees was completely impossible. The separation happened right as I completed Primary Seven, meaning that proceeding to secondary school was simply not in the cards for me or my siblings. Desperate for a way forward, my mother learned about Mr. and Mrs. Kajjimu through her cousin. Deciding to try her luck, she reached out to them — and they graciously accepted to pay my school fees. They have supported me faithfully right from Senior One all the way to this year, as I prepare to complete my Senior Six. I really don't know how my life would have turned out without them. I am so incredibly grateful to the Dovan Foundation. Beyond my tuition, they provide all my scholastic materials and pay for my school trips.”

“At 87 years old, my body is tired and I need constant support just to get through the day. The Dovan Foundation has been an absolute Godsend to me. Because I cannot manage on my own, they pay a monthly salary for a dedicated caretaker who stays with me and looks after all my needs. They also make sure I am always beautifully dressed by providing me with clothes. What touches my heart the most is how much they care about my happiness. I truly love meat and milk, and whenever I have a craving for them, I simply ask my caretaker to call Mr. and Mrs. Kajjimu. Without fail, they make sure I get it. I am so incredibly grateful for these children; they do not just support me, they treat me like their own mother.”
